Archaeology, Architecture and Astonishing Views

This top-of-the-line program has been designed to give a small group of architectural enthusiasts, whether professionals or just aficionados, the ultimate full-immersion learning experience in and amongst the treasures of Rome.

COST:  From $5,000/person double-occupancy including 6 nights bed and breakfast; meals and other food (including wine), activities, and transport as described; tips; and airport transfers. Private room supplement is US$ 1000.

  • Stay 7-nights in the heart of Rome in an elegant, hand-picked hotel. 

  • Focus each day on an epoch and a representative architect’s life and work

  • Explore hard-to-access sites such as crypts, cloisters and construction sites. 

  • If so inclined, participants will have time to sketch, with coaching from the study leader, an avid urban sketcher

  • Head out on a private excursion to explore the Roman countryside including aqueducts and ancient villas. 

  • Dine with local hosts from the architectural community

  • Build memories to last a lifetime in a  week that begins with a hands-on exploration to an active excavation site and ends with a visit to Rome’s top international design firm.
